My sponsor spouse (canadian citizen) and I (american citizen) are applying for my PR in Canada.
I'm going through the application documents now and am struggling with the proof of visitation documents.
When I go to visit my spouse (which is frequently, about every 2 weeks) I drive because he lives in the Vancouver area and me in the Seattle area. When I go through the border crossing they do not stamp my passport. What are some other ways I can prove my visitation?
Can I have mutual friends and family write letters to attest to us visiting each other? If I ask the border agents, will they print me out some sort of record of my travels to and from canada? Usually I drive my spouse when he comes to visit me in the USA, but he just started taking a bus back, so he doesn't have extensive proof of travel either.
Any help or suggestions much appreciated,
Thank you!
yes, CBSA can print you out a record of your visits. if your spouse takes a bus, then send copies of his ticket or email confirmation. i'm not sure "proof of visitation documents" is required. where are you reading this is required? they have copies of your passport, so can use that to confirm your story, i would think. also, if you pay for anything by credit card, include it. also, if you use facebook, and have status updates when you are visiting, take screen shots and use that to support your story.
The proof of visitation would be to help prove that my spouse and my relationship is a true spousal relationship and not just me tryng to get into canada.

then i wouldn't stress about finding "proof of visitations". next time you cross, definitately ask the border agent if you can go in and get a copy of your entries. Provide pictures - of you 2 and with others, any receipts for trips, facebook screenshots, wedding inviations and receipts for the events, pictures of gifts given, copies of cards, etc. US citizens are given a lot of leeway when it comes to proving our relationships.
