hi

How do you prove a relationship is genuine if the relationship occurs for a month and got married right after?
and let say the person that is being sponsored is already pregnant? would the pregnancy can serve as a strong proof?

Thanks

The relationship is only 1 month long and they are already married? How long have they known each other? The pregnancy won't help. CIC would be suspicious that it is a marriage of convenience.

It's pretty unusual (in Canada, at least) to meet a person then marry them a month later. At that point most Canadians are still in the "getting to know each other" stage and haven't even decided whether the relationship is exclusive or not yet. Was it an arranged marriage? Why did you marry so soon after meeting? How soon after starting to date did the pregnancy happen? How long have you been married? Be prepared to answer these questions and more about your spouse and your relationship with them, as you'll likely be required to do an interview. A month-long relationship before marriage is a red flag for CIC.

You'll have to just do your best as far as relationship proofs go, but it's an uphill battle for sure. The more proof you can provide, the better in your case. No, a pregnancy does not count as proof of a relationship and will not speed up processing of your application.

Some examples of evidence to include: chat logs/call histories between you and your spouse both before and after you got married, photos of the two of you together (including photos of your wedding and photos at family events like weddings/funerals), letters from friends and family showing they know about your relationship, joint bank account statements and utility bills if you live together, receipts from hotels or flights from trips you've taken together, photocopies of cards or pictures of gifts you've given each other, a timeline of your relationship and how it developed (from both your perspective and your spouse's).. basically anything that relates to the two of you and your relationship together. You're going to want to demonstrate that the marriage is genuine and wasn't done for immigration purposes.

yes they became officially in a relationship on april 6 ,2016 and got married on may 13, 2016. They have known each other since they were in elementary school and courting the sponsor when they were in high school. in short they have encountered each other 8 years ago and they meet again on april 2016.

you have to prove that the relationship is genuine, because it will be marked as red flag for the immigration officer. Proof of communication etc etc. Just be prepared for an interview :)

They should include the fact they met as children and were friends, then reconnected later. This will help show that the relationship has more background than just a couple who met for the first time and married one month later. If true, they could mention that they had romantic feelings for one another in high school, but did not act on them.

In addition, the sponsored person has to do a medical, including x-rays. Since most doctors advise against doing x-rays while pregnant, the couple could wait until the baby is born, and then apply. This way they would have almost a year of proof that their relationship is genuine, rather than just one month. If they are living together during this time, this might help.

Thanks for the input guys this is a great help.

Would an affidavit or sworn stamement from friends and families would also serve as proof?.

Thanks

Arranged marriages in certain cultures held within few days. CIC accept them

There is a guys on singapore thread who get married just a few days after he met his wife ( arranged marriage) and applied in october 2015 and got ppr begin of june, no interviews.

If it is an arranged marriage, then the one month will probably not be a problem. CIC accepts arranged marriages as genuine if the ethnic background of the couple is from a culture where arranged marriages are the norm. They will have to then show a lot of evidence that the marriage was arranged.
If it is not an arranged marriage, that one month is a problem. They will just have to provide more proof than is usually needed that the relationship is genuine.
