Proof of Relationship / Family Member Status

Hi!

I'm trying to fill in my Express Entry application (recently got an ITA). There are a few things under the document checklist that aren't clear about what they want.

I (the applicant) have:
Family Member Proof of Status
Proof of Relationship
Statutory Declaration of Common Law Union

My (unaccompanying and Canadian) common-law partner has:
Proof of Relationship
Family Member Proof of Status

I THINK the 'Family Member Proof of Status' that I'm being asked for is his citizenship. The common-law union is also clearly my partner. Who is it asking me for proof of my relationship to? It mentions a birth certificate or declaration of common law union. Does it want all family members (which would include my parents)? Or is it just asking for proof of relationship to my relative in Canada (which would be my partner).

My common-law partner listed a parent as a 'relative in Canada' because it asked (even though he is Canadian). Is it asking him for proof of relationship to his parent, and proof of their status (i.e. their passport)? This would seem very silly since he's Canadian himself...

Does anyone have experience with this to know what it's asking for? The headings are very vague about what they want.
