I have a joint account with my mother, however, on Bank Certificates only my name is mentioned as I am the Primary Applicant whereas on Statements, my mother name appears but it is not obvious!
Do I need to get self-declaration from my mother that she is joint account holder even when bank letter clearly states that all accounts are in name of primary applicant?

Yes
Ohhh God...everyday I think I'll submit it today, but I get one or another document. I hope this will be the last
Hi msudersha, just curious to ask you that 2 days ago I asked my bank for giving me Bank letter but he is not giving me any letter and told me that we are giving only bank statement. Is it Ok for proof of fund.
Please suggest
I guess this will be fine! But which Bank you are with?
ICICI bank and they are just giving me statement of my account so is it sufficient ??
I read somewhere else that bank letter is mandatory for proof of funds how can I get it. Have you got the same??
ICICI Bank is a biggest trouble. I regret having my funds in that! They didn't give any such letter only gave 6 months statement...
However I also had funds in IndusInd and HDFC but both the accounts were joint accounts with my mother...so showed those accounts
I have also bank account in another bank like Axis, SBI and BOB so as per your experience which is good to give bank letter easily and still I am confused that bank letter and account statement, which one is final considering??
Another question is that my father has provided fund to me before 6 month ago so is there any other documents/ procedure required to complete this.
Please suggest
I gave 6 months bank statement from ICICI Bank and Bank Letter as well as 6 months statement from HDFC and IndusInd
I only gave 6 months bank statement from ICICI as HDFC and IndusInd are joint accounts with my mother...ICICI is my salary account i wanted to show them that funds I am having are mine as earn CAD 1500 per month!
So give both, but as I say ICICI is horrible and won't give you bank letter
Thank you and ok then I will go for Axis bank. What about Bank Letter, in India are we calling as different name or something like that because whenever I asked bank for providing me bank letter at that time they just issue to me statement. How can you approach to get bank letter from ICICI??
It's great help if you could share your experience.
Thanks in advance
Bank Letter + 6 Months Statements from HDFC and IndusInd (Joint Accounts with my Mother, therefore self-declaration by her that I am the primary holder of these accounts and she does not have any issues if I use this for immigration)
6 Months Statement from ICICI Bank (Salary Account, wanted to show my salary)...ICICI won't give such letter. I have written to their nodal office and tweeted to their Head Office in Mumbai.
I would used the term Balance Certificate rather than Bank Letter!
Thank you Very much and +1 for your help
Bank letter is mandatory, you need to demand from the bank, its just a template varies from bank to bank where they filling some details and take the printout signing on it.
