Hi ,I had done short landing in July 2015 and planning to go permanently now next month. Immigration officer did not checked my proof of funds when I did short landing ,do I need to carry proof of funds now.

Did you officially land back in 2015? If yes, then the answer is No.

So the only proof you will be asked to provide is for your residency - the PR card.

Sure, as a permanent resident you won't be asked again for PoF.

Just a curious question, if the officer didn't ask you for the proof of funds when you landed in 2015 - while he was filling your COPR - what did he write under "42. Money in Posession:_____ " ? Did he leave that empty?

That looks nothing like mine, maybe it's unique to Quebec but there's nothing about money that I can see on mine. I was asked for PoF or PoE; gave her both, she seemed happy (for CBSA).
