Proof of Funds Question

Hai PMM,

I have a question related with proof of funds. I am applying for study permit extension......I have enough funds available from last 2 months in my bank. I got this money from my brother in U.S..He is a Canadian Citizen working in U.S..He transferred me money into my bank account for proof of funds...He wants to support me...I have enough funds available for first year of study..This is a 3 year course..

Does my brother needs to send a support document becauses funds are transffered from him? or can i show my bank statements with the funds available in my bank currently?

What should i write for the 11 th question in IMM 1249 form if i show my bank statement..

question: I receive support from: 1. Self 2. Relative 3. General welfare 4. Other..

I am confused : Slef or Relative(Brother)? because funds are transffered from my brother's account but i have those funds in my bank account currently.

My sister is working in U.S..My sister wants to sponser me if it is required..or can i show a support statement from my sister..
does she needs to show her bank letter from U.S along with the support document..


Please advice..I really appreciate your quick response..Because i need to apply in this week.

1. Bank statement and a covering letter where the funds came from.
2. It would be relative.
3. You don't need anything from your sister, if you brother has transferred sufficient funds.
4. By the way you posted at 3am most people are sleeping in Canada at that time.

Thank You PMM for your reply. So i do not need to show any letter from my brother(supporting document).
I will write a covering letter. I will upload it then..Because i am applying online..Correct me if i am wrong..
