Proof of funds - Please help

In my proof of funds for my visitor extension, my husband is taking responsibility for supporting me. So I included our joint accounts and his letter of employment as proof of funds. I have another bank account which is just mine and my family sent me money last month. I didn't include that because I didn't think it mattered coz my husband doesn't have access to it and it doesn't affect him financially supporting me. Should I still send in a web form and inform ircc about my account? Do I need to tell ircc that my family sent me money?
I applied for visitor extension last week and the money was sent to me on my birthday ($1,000) about a month before I applied.
