In my application my wife is the primary applicant and I am applying as her spouse. Now we both have individual bank accounts and my question is that should I combine my bank letters along with hers with both of our bank statements (6 months) into one pdf and upload it under the Proof of funds section under her name? or is there a different way to upload my wife and my POF's?
But my wife is not working since we have gotten married and i am the only one working in the family. So I had opened up an account for her and as she is the primary applicant I kept transferring money in her account from mine. So in this case I think i will have to show my statements as well because it will prove that the money was being transferred from my account to hers..
If she's had more than the minimum for 6 months, there's no need. If it's built up over 6 months from 0, then you may have to show your statements. And yes, you'll upload them in the same PDF under her name as primary applicant.
Great! and yes we built up her account from 0 when the account was opened sometime back in May 2015. But thanks for the tip about uploading both our POF's documents in the same placeholder as my wife!
I would suggest an loe in that PDF as well explaining that you had transferred her funds. When did she reach the min funds in her account? (15,312 for two people?)
So the money has been in her name for more than 6 months? In that case you don't have to show anything of where the money came from. If she can't get a letter from her bank just upload 6 months of statements, as long as it shows consistent funds for 6 months.
I have no issues letting the letter for myself and her.. along with a no liability letter stating that i dont have any loans with the bank for both of us. HSBC was helpful in this case. I think since I have all the info I might as well upload everything (mine and hers). I was just confused about which placeholder to use for my statements, I was thinking to upload my statements in the supporting documents placeholder but now I will do it under her name itself.
Don't make it complicated if you don't have to. If your wife, who is responsible for this application, has had the funds clean in her account for 6 months then that's the only thing you need to upload.
