Wished to confirm if the following will be accepted as valid proof of funds for individual EE application.
1. Entire required amount of ~ CAD 13k to be funded by gift deed (by my father). Hope this won't be an issue.
2. I plan to take credit of the amount to my savings account and then create a Fixed Deposit for 6 months period in the same Bank.
3. Will provide FD letter from Bank as proof of funds (entire amount).

yes you can do that and make sure the gift deed is notary attested on a stamp paper of Rs 100/- with two witnesses known to you and if possible get a valid outside India stamp on it and the FD should be auto renewable. since you are making a gift deed so 6 months period does not matter.

Hi jk28, were fd certificate and gift deed were suffice for this? or did you put along bank statements for the transferred amount? Did you receive your PPR?
