I think it depends on how many people are there in your application. That is if three people appear in his application, he would have to show proof of funds for 3 member family.

Your savings bank account statment will serve the purpose.
And any photo copy should be attested by notary.
FD certificates are not considered as proof of funds as that money is not with you at the time of submitting the proof.
Dear Sharat Joshi, who do you think is the FD money with ??. FD's are liquid cash and can be in your hand on demand. FD'S are perfectly fine for the purpose of settlement funds.

As far as I know, parents are not considered as your dependents in your application as a FSW. I'm not sure if FSW3 have the same rule with FSW1. Family members to be considered as dependents are: spouse, children.
