So what in such cases where they have less time to dispose off property so they take reasonable cash and show Property documents with valuation reports that PA will back and dispose all property and bring remaining or excess funds later. Are you talking about settlement funds? When you do your first landing, irrespective of how many dependents are accompanying PA at that time, some settlement fund prescribed by CIC based on your family size will have to be shown at the port of entry. You need not carry the whole amount with you in cash. But, it should be available to use in Canada, if needed. This fund is to ensure that the newcomer and family will be able to survive till you find any job or get any social assistance. So, at this stage, I really doubt if they would permit proof of fund to be the valuation of property.
