First of all let me say this I am a Canadian citizen and I find the requirements absurd ! Now onto the question at hand:

My girlfriend is trying to get her Study Permit she can afford to pay both of her semesters of (5,500$) adding to a full year tuition of 11,000$ but she doesn't have the 10,000$ they seem to require for " living expenses " . She can come up with 2 - 3,000$ from working. But her living expenses will be near 0$, the house we are getting is FREE due to the fact that my family is generously giving it to us while we go to school and will not require her to pay for rent. Also groceries will be covered by me & my brother on a weekly basis. So she doesn't really need all that much is there a way to have that 10,000$ living expenses unnecessary because in this case it is.

If it helps at all she is an American Citizen.

P.S : Stay strong international students ! Sorry our country makes it complicated to come here :(

Ask any of your friends to sponsor her, They just have to show the money for the VISA application, don't really need to give the money to your girlfriend.
