I'm checking IRCC website to understand how I could proof my 15 months of common-law relationship.
I currently live in an house that financed about 4 years ago, so it doesn't have my partner's name referenced in the bank statements. Also, since I was the first one to live here, all the utility bills are solely in my name.
So the kinds of proofs that I identified we could demonstrate were:
- 14 months of joint credit card and bank account
- 7 months of letters from the Association of Engineers of my country, forwarded to my wife in our address
- Both her IELTS and WES reports sent to our current address.
- I also could get from our condo administration a statement that she is a registered resident of the condo since December 2018.
We haven't created our profile, since I'm waiting my WES report to arrive.
So, since the only "12 month" proof that we actually have is the joint credicard/bank account, I would like to hear from you guys if anyone had a similar proof, where only 1 of the requirements had +12months of records, and the others had less than 12 months. Did IRCC accept your application? Should I wait 5 more months to get enough letters from the association of engineers (addressed to my wife) before applying?
