please advise why would IRCC send my Child's citizenship application to Program Support Unit? first kid received the citizenship in 6 months only. but second one it is about 18 months and now i was told that the application was sent to the PSU.

You will need to order the GCMS notes from IRCC for the application and examine them for the reason.

I have received the following from IRCC:

"please contact the father and request copies of all his passport pages showing the entry/exit stamps to confirm his presence in XXXX at the time of the child’s conception"

Although I can provide the requested information/documents but I see no relation between where the father was and the fact that my child was born in XXXX.

Do I have to be with my child all the time in order for him to be granted the Canadian citizenship?

On what basis are you applying for citizenship for the child? The request only makes sense if it was via paternal descent.

In that case, the request makes perfect sense. They are questioning whether the child is actually the biological child of the father. Was the child conceived in the same country as the birth?
You must provide the required information or IRCC may either refuse the application or insist on a DNA test.
