If i add my newborn to my PR application ( considering its near completion, as my medical is done and no further documents are needed) , would it delay the processing time?
Regardless of your intention to add your newborn to application, you will need to notify IRCC of the change in your family composition.
You will need to fill additional forms and submit prove of IDs & they will need extra time to process it. Assume you provide them everything they need, it will not affect your eligibility of PR.

Hey thanks!
So i already have informed them and its been almost a month they havnt asked for any of my newborns documents. Does it usually take that long for adding a newborn to the application ?
Thats exactly my question too, we received our AOR for PR application on June 11 2017. Application proceeded normally, we had a baby after that, I informed CIC about that and were asked on Sept 6 to get baby's medical done. We completed and submitted that around 15 Sept. Since then I see the we have passed the medical exam under the application status, it says that the additional documents I provided are being reviewed, no interview or biometrics needed and background check is not applicable.
I was wondering if the 6 months processing time window would be reset and would start from Sept or what kind of delay should we expect.
