Process to extend visitors visa after work permit has been extended

Hey guys!
My wife recently applied online to extend her work permit, it should be approved within a few days and I understand after she gets the extension of the work permit she should also extend her visitors visa.
I´ve been surfing the CIC website and I'm confused on how to extend the visa, is it the same process as requesting a new one? I did the test to know if her case is eligible to apply online and I got the form IMM5257E which is for a new visa, is this correct?
