I submitted visitor visa application for my spouse today and received biometric instruction letter within 4 hours. We have biometric appointment booked for Feb 1st. Would it be expected to receive passport request letter in next 2 weeks ?

To be honest, no one could predict IRCC application processing order isn't First in First out. Also It depends upon the Visa officer/Visa Office, application completeness, etc.

You would be one of the most luckiest ppl on planet earth! Processing time for visitor visa can take up to 6 months nowadays depending on the office. Hope u r an exception

6 months is an understatement. I applied in February 2022 and I am still waiting, so 11 months and no-one knows when they will respond.

Had given biometric on 1st Feb . Ircc had date of biometric updated. But status still showed your action required, waiting for biometric.

I opened help - technical request mentioning the same on 6th Feb . Got the passport submission letter today .

You mean you applied in February 2022 or February 2023?

I applied in February 2022, in February 2023 I raised an official complaint for outrageous processing time (outside of limits) but no response yet
