I am currently a student in nelson, Canada. I am already married , so need to know that whether it is possible to bring my wife in visiting visa and then later on converting it in to a dependent visa or to work permit visa if she gets a job. If she doesn't get a job is it possible to change it into a dependent visa?

There is no such thing as a dependent visa. Your wife would get a temporary resident visa. She would declare that she is related to you and that you are a student permit holder. That she is a dependent doesn't change the visa process.

But what do you think a dependent visa is? What kind of status are you looking for her to obtain?

Ya the same TRV that was mentioned as dependent visa. So she can apply for TRV even if she doesn't have a job right. And how long it will take usually

I'm still confused by what you are asking about dependent visas since you acknowledge they are TRVs. Why would your wife need to convert a visa to a visa she already holds?

While a job is not mandatory it helps. Canada will expect your wife to provide she has the financial resources to pay for her visit to Canada and reasons to return home once her visit is finished. Even if she is dependent on you for income. If she has no job, it reduces her financial capacity to pay for her visit and her home ties.

You can find processing times per country by searching "Canada visa processing times" on Google. Those times are estimates.

Do follow the link I posted above to verify that your wife could apply for a spousal work permit from within Canada. Sometimes you are required to apply while outside Canada.

I accidentally mentioned TRV as dependent sorry for that. I had asked if she comes to Canada in visiting visa and then later on is it possible to apply for a TRV from CANADA itself without going back to native country.

It is, but that's only needed if she is planning to leave Canada and return in a short time where the visa could not be applied outside of Canada. Why else would she need another TRV when she is in Canada?

Right now she's in India if we apply trv from India it will take more tym but a,visiting visa will be approved quickly. So i thought to bring her Canada in visiting visa then later on changing it into trv

You still don't get it. A visiting visa is a TRV.

OKay i meant trv means spouse visa
No, it doesn't. It doesn't, and you are thinking of so many classes of visas that don't exist and you are confusing yourself.

Your wife needs a TRV to enter Canada.

I assume you are asking if she can apply for a work permit based on your student status while she is in Canada. Use the link I posted above to see if she can apply for the permit while in Canada. It is typically better to apply outside of Canada. I am unsure if she can apply in Canada, but the link I posted above will have the answer.

A work permit is not a visa.

Okay thank you now i am clear. I used to ask different people and got different opinion that's why got confused
