My wife and I are currently in Canada on TRV-Visitor visa. Our EE application is in process simultaneously. Our EE profile will complete 6 months in Sep 2016 and our TRV-Visitor granted stay of 6 months will expire in Aug 2016.
We would like to continue our stay in Canada, with the hopes that our EE application should be finalized within the published processing time of 6 months as per IRCC.
I have seen the form on cic website for TRV-Visitor extension. However, it say we need to apply 30 days before the expiry. What if I am late, and have only 1-2 weeks left before expiry?
To re-phrase my question, is the 30 day application rule stringent? Or can I apply for extension with 1-2 weeks to spare before my stay period expires?
Can I apply for visitor visa extension 1-2 weeks before my stay-period expires? Does it have to be 30 days in advance?
Thank you
