I applied for my MIL for Super visa and today I got the PFl stating that I did not mention previous visa refusals.
I filled the application for my MIL as she is not good in english. I knew she was refused a Canadian Visit visa in 2019 which I mentioned but I didnot she also applied for a US visa and so I didnot mention.
They have given me 10 days to respond. Any idea or any sample letter of explanation that could help me in starting the letter would be of a great help.
Reason for applying super visa is my wife is pregnant and this is our first and her due date is April 10th and she was coming here to help us in the process.
Any guidance any sample letter of explanation would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Did the letter mention a five year ban ?
Yes it did. its the standard PFL letter that everyone gets
All you can do is explain what happened and why you didn't mention the refusals and hope you're not banned.
It's likely a very bad idea also to mention that she is coming to help with a pregnancy - that is considered work in Canada and would not be permitted under a visitor's visa.
Do you have any kind of letter or template that could help me in kick starting my letter of explanation to the VO
No. It needs to be a genuine and personal letter.
I would seriously consider having a lawyer draft up your response. This is a one shot deal and the repercussions are harsh and long lasting.
Hi,
I have the letter drafted. One question is should I also upload the updated TRV form with all the refusals as well or just the explanation letter?
At this point an updated application is pointless. You’re really trying to get them to refuse the application, rather than apply the ban.
I will just submit the letter of explanation, Thank you
Did you have someone draft it up or did you do it yourself?
My Immigration lawyer helped me draft one and he discarded everything that I wrote and he made one for me
Good choice. Best to have someone familiar with the requirements assist.
Update: I received a letter today from IRCC.
It states that My MIL doesn't need to go through the bio metric since we submitted the bio-metric of 2017 when her TRV was refused.
I was expecting the next communication to be a refusal letter. Any idea if its a good thing or I m going to get the rejection letter soon?
