Procedural fairness for Parents TRV

Hi All,

I applied for a visitor visa for my parents when I was on WP last year and received procedural fairness stating that there was a biographical mismatch between my parent's visitor visa application and my work permit. I submitted the response to IRCC with supporting documents from Attorney and regional revenue officer in India. The mistake was in my WP not with their application.

I am not sure if IRCC will put them under the 5-year ban. Recently we got our PR, will there be any impact on my PR status in case my parents get 5 years ban?

This is a visitor issue not a family sponsorship issue. Depending on the discrepancy and the extent of the discrepancy it could technically impact both your status and your parent’s application. You’ll need to wait for a response from IRCC.

Thanks a lot for your response Canuchk! The mismatch is due to my father's surname and date of birth.. Not sure how big an impact this will have.

May I ask how long does it take them to respond to your answer to the procedural fairness letter?

Yes, my father visa got approved.. after that I applied for super visa even that got approved

That is great to hear. Would you mind telling me how long you had to wait for a response? I'm stuck in a PFL and been waiting for 4 months already.

I think it took a month or month and half to get the response from IRCC
