Has anyone else had problems getting into Ecas today?
Yes I have signed up with matthewc's Ecas tracker but occassionally go in to check myself as well, just because I haven't received any notice of being in Process with London yet, and it was sent there on 19th November, and am getting a bit worried, as the month before London got in Process much quicker than this.
And so, I've tried to log onto Ecas myself and it just says after a really long time of trying to open the page that there is an Error and
SORRY ...
we were unable to find the page you requested.
And I have been trying to get it directly through the CIC website.
Yep, I just tried a few times once I saw your thread, to test it myself. The first couple of times, the connection just timed out. The last time, I got the same error as you did.
They're probably having problems or are down for emergency maintenance or something. I wouldn't worry about it; just check again later today or tomorrow.
I hope they're busy updating the database with tons of approvals... hence the need to temporarily take down the server, due to the large quantity of approvals.
:
EDIT: I sure as hell hope they're not beefing up security or otherwise making changes which will make the Matthew's eCas tracker useless...

I think e-cas is a terrible tool. IF it's updated (and updated on time..meaning BEFORE you land), it doesn't tell you anything. They need to find a way to link it to CAIPS so we are aware of where we stand in the process. "Medicals received" is great...but what now? With the technology these days...there should be an app for that!
I think before, ECAS used to be fairly reliable for an update but now its just that some are even lucky if they can sign in at all. I mean I have a client id from previous visitor extensions but after 5 months, STILL not able to sign in. I called CIC about it and of course they said that I would have to wait until a decision was made on the application before I could sign in. What? You mean wait another 4 months. Ughh...
I wish their ECAS was like the US system. They get updates everytime their app is even touched. I mean wouldn't that be nice! CIC please take a hint and realize we need this instead of increasing timelines in hopes we won't bug your phoneline. If you did this we wouldn't need to. Just my opinion though.
