Private Medical coverage

Hello everyone
I need some advice for my friend. She is married and is in Canada and currently on study permit. She is not covered under OHIP. She just found out that she is expecting a baby within next 7 months. She has filed her immigration. Does anyone know of any private medical insurance company that will cover her pregnancy. What are her options
Has anyone dealt with such a situation before

I thought all international students in Ontario were required to have insurance with UHIP.

No Spookyb… I asked her and she doesn't have any such coverage.. Does anyone know of any private insurance group where she can buy that coverage

No private insurance is going to cover a pregnancy/delivery because they know it will cost thousands.

So my friend has got no option but to go back to India since she can't afford not to have an insurance cover her for her baby
