Guys need some information about Medical insurances in Canada.
I recently received my PR, want to know how private insurance works in Canada ? Is it linked with OHIP or can Private insurance can be used seperately ?

I don't want to rely on public health insurance , so want to know how the private insurance process works ?

Thanks

Private insurance generally sits on top of provincial health care coverage - meaning that it covers items that provincial health care coverages does not cover or only partially covers. Generally speaking, private insurance does not replace provincial health insurance.

Would suggest you read about the Canadian health system. You seem confused. It is not like the UK or Australia where there is a private system running in parallel to the public system. If ou will have to wait for appointments like everyone else.

Thank you
