Think you will find that VC/PE is pretty small in Canada. VC was almost non-existent 10 years ago so has grown but I imagine you have a very well compensated job. Why would you leave a job without at least another offer? Not sure it would be worth moving to Canada with the likely salary difference.

Thanks for the response. I am not too much concerned about the salary difference at the moment as I believe pay would gradually increase (hopefully). One of the reason I am moving to Canada is I did not get a visa extension in the US. I can go back to my home country (India) but then the pay would be even more drastically less due to weaker currency.
In case you have any leads or know any headhunters who could help me with the job search in this space, will be great!

Yes, but not many are open to sponsoring UK Work permits and hence, the challenge. And language barrier in other European countries. But you are right - I may be better off in Europe than in Canada in this field.
With Canada I'll have unrestricted work authorization with PR though.
