Primary and Dependent in different countries in North America, How to submit Passports for stamping?

Hi Members,

I received my PPR which says I and my dependents(spouse) should submit passport and photographs as one package, My query is that I and my spouse are in different countries. I am in Canada and he is US so how can we submit our passports? I need help from seniors/experts who are aware of any such case and how did they submit their passport for stamping and received them back successfully.
All your help is much appreciated.
