but what if her husband is canadian citizen ? her baby will be canadian automatically whether born in india or canada ? so how does her pr visa gets affected ?
That would be true but she didn't state that her husband is Canadian citizen. In any event, having the baby in Canada would mean that her grandchildren would also automatically be Canadian citizens too, delaying that 2nd generation rule that came into force in March 2009.
I'm with 'computergeek'. He has stated first-hand experience with the matter and DF can't seem to quote a 'source'. Even our papers mention "births" among others, but nothing about "being pregnant". CG also outscores DF 3,038 - 167 ...
It's not a contest - I can certainly be wrong. But I have gone over the manuals quite a few times and this specific issue has been discussed regularly - a VO does not want to know about a potential future child. But you are obligated to advise them when a new child is born. That actually applies even if the new child is a Canadian citizen. In that case they REALLY don't care, but you've complied with your obligation to update them about changes to your family composition.
