Pregnancy care in Ottawa/Gatineau

I am wondering if anyone has found any pregnancy resources in the ottawa or Gatineau area. I will be moving to Gatineau, QC by the end of december. I still have no health insurance since I am waiting now on an interview in Buffalo. I contacted the birth center in gatineau and they said they are not accepting any new patients. I would like to use the services of a midwife and have considered doing a home birth. Any resources would be useful. I am hoping I may be able to get private insurance soon when my husband finds a job otherwise I would have to pay out of pocket until I get PR. At least I know in Quebec that I would not have to wait 3 months for insurance when I get PR since I am pregant. I am currently 28weeks due 1st week of March.

Hey, try the Community health centres, (CHC) their services are free and they do not ask you for a health card.
