Has anyone applied for spousal PR that goes by a different name than their legal name? I’m concerned for proof of our relationship that all letters and documents are addressed to “Jack” (preferred name) but legal name is “John”. Our rental agreement, joint bank account, insurance and employer benefits are all under his legal name.
Is anyone aware of a spot in the application we can state a preferred name?

While not exactly the same my partner goes by an abbreviated version of his name (this isnt it but example name being John-Paul goes by JP.). A lot of our official stuff is under "JP". But some things are John-Paul. He is referred to as both in letters from friends/family also.
As Canuck said just put Jack as a nickname, where it asks for nicknames.
The Nicknames question isn't there for nicknames like "shnookums" and "babycakes" as I have seen previous posts asking Its for officially used nicknames.
