Hi
After getting medical clear. and if we are stamped visa for canada. then for how long is that visa stamped for?

Is that visa stamped on passport or just some legal doc?

After reaching canada , how to apply for PR? And after how long we get it?
PR in Canada is marked on passport or some legal doc is given?

Waiting for reply

1. 1 year from the date of the medical or the expiry of the passport, whichever comes first.
2. If you are from a NON visitor visa exempt country, a counterfoil will be placed in your passport and you will also be issued a Confirmation of Permanent Resident paper. If you are from a Visitor Visa exempt country you will be just issued the COPR.
3. When you arrive in Canada, at the Port of Entry your PR is processed then and there.
4. You will receive a PR card in the mail at a Canadian address after landing, about 63 days plus mailing time.

Dear
i came in UK 10 months before from India just for studies. studies are still going on. and now i am called for medical from canadian embassy as case was applied 2 years before with my wife.
I dont want to go India specially for medical and passport submission. I know that i can undergo any medical panel from here. but is there any possibility for passport submission. because its a bit hassel to go India and wait there for 2 months after submission.
please let me know if any chance to submit passport right from UK?

Thanks]

1. You can have the medical in the UK.
2. No, you will have to figure out how to get the passport to New Delhi. They won't give you your visa in London. As it is illegal to mail/courier Indian passports, you are going to have to find someone to hand carry it to India.

Dear
as I was not having any alternative, so I came to India during Xmas holidays.
I am done with my medical in Dec 2012. And passports with all supporting documents R sent on January 3.
e status...only shows file in process. They have not yet updated about medical and passport received or not.

1. how long are they gonna take, to make decision?
2. I have to go back, for my studies to UK. as i have not got my passport so i can't fly. It is affecting my studies and immigration status?
3.
Is there any alternative of fast processing and to get passports back?
4. I am too much worried about long procedures. Moreover we never know the results of immigration(Canada pr). On the other side I m affecting my studies in UK for which I hv paid huge amount. It affects my immigration status with immigration clearance in UK as well. I can't stay that long in India for this reason.

Thx n regards
Thomas
