Hi,
I am planning on travelling to Dominican Republic (DR) for the holidays and have not got my PR card even though it has been more than 60 days since I became PR. Reason why it has taken so long it's because apparently the photo I initially sent was not good enough so I had to take another photo and send it.
Any ways, if I am still in Canada, can I apply for PR Travel Document to go to DR? Or do I have to apply to the travel Document from DR ? If I do it from DR, how long will it take to receive my PR Travel Doc?
Thanks,
No, you can't apply for PRTD from inside Canada. You will have to apply from DR. Good Luck!

Hi, Can you please tell me how this turned out? I am in the same situation. I have been waiting for my renewed card for more than 2 months and am traveling to the DR at the end of February. Did you have to get a PR Travel Document in the DR? and if so how long did that take. Thank you
It did not turn out good. I still have not got my PR Card. I believe they are having issues with the photos. However, I was told there is a way you could get your PR card from there. But it's not advisable if you are spending less than 2 weeks in DR.
