I am planning to travel in October and my PR card has already expired. Current processing time is 84 days for renewal. My citizenship interview is scheduled for June 24th. But I am not sure if I will be able to get oath and passport by October. Will new PR renewal application in the system at this stage affect my citizenship application especially if we have to cut/destroy PR card during oath? Will it causes delay?

Your PR card renewal application will NOT affect your citizenship application in any way.
You will still have to cut the PR card after your oath ceremony (on camera). If your PR application is still in progress on the day of your oath ceremony, IRCC will internally send a request to cancel your PR card renewal application.
