PR RENEWAL QUESTION

Hello,
My PR is expiring in June 2019.

Would anybody be able to tell me what is the process to apply for the renewal of my PR?

I am only 6 months away and I need to apply for the renewal before the current one expires.

By the way only PR cards expire PR status never expires and can only be renounced or revoked.

Bs65, I have another question, when we applied for our PR for the first time, we needed to be within a particular NOC CODE, for replying for a renewal, is there any such requirement with regards to your NOC CODE or what job you do or how much you earn?

Please advice.

No such requirement. You just have to meet the residency requirement (i.e. have lived in Canada for 2 out of the last 5 years).

Answer: For a PR card, no. It now only applies to new PR applicants.

My PR renewal application was received by the CIC on the 31st of January 2019, how long will I have to wait before I am able to see the status of my application on the "Client Application Status" section of the CIC?
