Hello Everyone!

I am about to apply for PR card renewal and I had a couple of questions:

1) How do we count days outside of Canada? (Since that is what's required on the application) For instance: if I left to the states on April 1st, and came back on April 2nd. Does that count as one day or two days outside of Canada? I unfortunately have lots of small little visits so these days add up!

2) Is it ok that I will be eligible for PR renewal (aka met the 2 year requirement) a few days after my PR expires?

Thank you very much for your time and consideration, hope you all have a fantastic day!

For anyone else who has the same question, I found my answer somewhere else:

1) Any day or part of a day that was spent in Canada counts as a day IN canada, examples:

Vacations spent out of canada with FROM - To dates:
* April 1st to April 2nd: Days In: 2 - Days Out: ZERO
* January 10th to January 17th: Days Out: 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th AKA 6 Days

Thank you! Where did you get this info? I'm mostly interested in a situation when, say we leave early in the morning and return back next day later at night. Have a couple of such trips
