PR renew requirements

Hi All,

I need to know what's the requirement to keep the PR card valid so that you can renew. I know the rule is :you need to live in Canada for two out of five years.

Under what circumstances you can renew your PR? If I stay 1.5yrs out of 5 then it can be revoked right; but in the VFS center I saw people applying for renewal of their PR, hows that work?

PR card renewal is done by mail INSIDE Canada. It's not done at a "VFS" centre.
