pr process while spouse passport is being renewed

Dear All,

I'm an Indian Citizen and Canadian PR. I want to sponsor my wife for Canadian PR under family class who is an Indian Citizen. I will start the process in another 2 weeks by submitting all required documents to Missisagua. Now my passport is going to expire in the month of April. So I have to give my passport for renewal in the Indian consulate here is ottawa. The indian consulate here in ottawa is taking 2 months for renewal.So my question is
(A) Will the PR process continue for my wife while my passport is given for renewal in the Indian consulate? while the passport is being renewed in the indian consulate, it would have expired for a month or so . is there any problems or issue here? will my wife's PR be continued to process?

There is no problem for that. You have a valid passport while submitting the application. Let the renewal go in its timeline.
