I'm just new PR in Canada and I'm here for almost 6months. And I'm planning to finish my studies in the Philippines just for 1-1/2 yr.
is it true that I must see or tell Canada immigration in the Philippines before 6months of staying there that i'l be staying for a year?
they said its like requesting for overstay so that they will not void or hold my PR status. Because if I would not report to them, il be in trouble in going back to canada after 1yr or 1 1/2 yr of staying in the philippines.. Is it TRUE??

No, they don't care. As long as you reside in Canada for 2 years in every 5 you retain your PR status. I really wish I knew where all these rumors come from.
Your permanent resident status allows you to live in Canada, but there is also a time limit on how long you can live outside the country. To keep your status as a permanent resident, you must live in Canada for at least two years within a five-year period.
