PR Photo Requirements

I am sure this question has been asked before. On the website it states that the photo must bear the date the photo was taken (not the date the photo was printed) directly on the back (stick-on labels are not acceptable).

Could someone confirm if the back of the photo also needs to have a stamp from the place that is issuing the photograph? The place I was getting the photographs from told me that this is a requirement for PR however I do not see that mentioned explicitly on the CIC website.

Based on my lawyer's advice this is not a requirement. Mine photos carry only the date.

I am guessing that the contact information would be needed since that is the only way CIC can validate the date the photograph was taken. Anyone can buy a date stamp and put it at the back of a photo.

The photos do have to have the date that they were taken (the person who takes the photo can stamp the date on the back). On Five (5) out of Six (6) photographs, you should also write the name and date of birth of the person who appear in the photo.

Hi Kaur. That does not really answer my question. I know it needs to have the date stamp. My question is that if it also needs to have a stamp with the contact information of the place issuing the photograph since am guessing that is the only way that CIC can validate the date the picture is taken. FOr 5 Photographs ---- Apart from DATE TAKEN, NAME, DOB do we also need Stamp with contact information of the place that is issuing the photograph.
I have the contact information(Studio name) on back of my photographs..do I need to re-take the photos without studio name.

It is not mandatory to have the Studio Name printed at the back of the photograph. But having it is fine too, no need to retake without the studio name.
