Hi
Can anyone please explain how the residency obligations work.

I've been out of Canada for most of my time being a perm res which was since April 2010 but it was due to me taking care of my mum in South Africa due to her being very ill since end 2010 and my permanent residence expires In June this year. I've been present in Canada at most about just over 530 days.
My question: I would like to retain my perm res so would like to travel back to Canada end March 2015 but my concern is am I going to be given a hard time at the port of entry into Canada? I would like to know what is expected etc.
can someone with knowledge please explain to me.
