A lot has been mentioned and heard about the Landing experiences, viz., unwelcoming experiences in Carway, Alberta Border crossing office; Ease of landing in Niagara office etc. I thought it'd help many of us if you could let us know how it was for you, in a single thread here, if you had done your landing in carway.
I'll try to copy paste couple of other experiences which was reported in other threads of this Forum.
P.S.: Thanks to Qorax and Iam_toby; we have lots of information about the processes; still it is better to hear from the real experiences.
We made the landing yesterday. Went from Edmonton to Carway and the officer told us that we need to go to USA and then come back to make a landing. So we went to the U.S. immigration office and there received the refugee of entry (as we need but don't have the U.S. visa). With this paper we went back to the Immigration office on the Canadian side and gave our papers to the officer. They asked us to go to the waiting room. In 10 minutes officer came and said that everything is done the only thing that we need to sign one paper. We put our signatures and officer said that in 6 days they will send us the PR cards. And that's all. 6 hours of driving + 10 minutes of waiting and we have a PR status in Canada.
Also they asked some questions like: are there any things that we would like to take from Ukraine to Canada. We have 3 years to do that. Also they asked about our old docs and we gave our work permits. And that's all. They don't ask about additional things or docs.
Landed @ peace-bridge last Friday. The process took about 1/2 hr.It was straight forward. Finally our PR journey is complete now . Ecas status also updated to complete .
Just a note:- If you are a worker already inside canada ,staple your work permit document to your passport.it is expected at the border that you hand over the COPR along with the passport and Work permit.
Does any of you here guys who went to the boarder who have encountered of unaccommodating boarder officer? Just arrived home from carway for my exit but the officer told me to do it in calgary. Does the notice of refusal letter that the US boarder gve to us will affect our record for future entry to the US and other countries?
The remarks on the letter is this
-the subjects has no intentions of entering in the US right now and are just going to get canadian immigration benefits-
So I landed at Rainbow bridge. Immigration office didnt ask anything. I took my paystubs and bank statements just in case. Everything went on smoothly and Immigration officer asked me to sign COPR in his presence, rest all good
I have completed my landing. I highlighted the mistakes in the date to the officer when landing and the same was corrected by him. No need to worry and just drive to the border and inform the officer.
Can any one advise - do we need to take photographs when we go for landing at border security office? If so any specifications please and number of copies.

Scroll down and look for a link called 'Landing in Canada'. There should be an answer to your question.
You'll be fine Guess that most applicants are still in Canada by the time the PR application gets approved,
so flagpoling at a land crossing is the faster option.
