PR in final stage and passport expires in 6 months

Hi There,

I applied for AIP PR, which is in the final stage(decision pending). My Passport expires in August 2023. I am currently under a work permit. If I renew my passport, my work permit will expire, and I won't be able to work unless I apply for another work permit and receives a letter to continue working. What would be the best option now? Should I wait for my eCOPR decision, renew my passport, and apply for a work permit? Will there be a chance that I will get a request to renew my passport from the PR processing agent?

Not a issue. You can apply passport renewal now and then apply work permit with old passport. In mean time when you get your new password send it through webform.
