Hi, looking for some advice from anyone that can help.
I received my PR card in November of 2014 and my PR card expires on November of 2019.
Unfortunately my father and shortly after my mother (who resides outside of Canada) became ill 5 months after I received my PR card and I needed to take care of them as their only child. During my stay there I had to get a job to support both my parents and myself and now would like to continue in that career instead of fully immigrating to Canada. However I would like to come back to Canada this year to collect all of my belongings (I mean almost everything as I didn't expect to be there for so long) and say goodbye to loved friends and family in Canada.
If I arrive at customs without being able to meet my RO dates will they immediately deport me or will they allow me to enter if I explain my situation? Is there a better way of entering possibly with a visit visa instead?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
