Hello all,
Even though I searched the answer of my question in this forum, I was unable to find it. Sorry in advance if this has been discussed earlier.

I am a PR holder since June 2019 and still residing in Turkey. I plan to move to Canada in September/October 2020 after I arrange solid job within the company that I currently work with.

I will marry my girlfriend in June 2020 in Turkey and a few months later we plan to move to Canada. I am not sure how to progress with her visa application therefore I wanted to get some opinion in order to avoid any legal issue in the future.
I know that I cannot sponsor her for a PR since I am residing in Turkey. Therefore, this can only be done when I move to Canada.

1- Is it a good idea to get her a TRV before we marry in June or just after?
2- If we get a TRV before we marry and she comes with me to Canada under temporary visa, would we face an issue when I want to sponsor her for PR?
3- Or, should we just avoid going into hassle of TRV and directly proceed with spousal sponsorship when I move to Canada? This will mean that we need to stay apart for a while during the processing time of the sponsorship, right?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

1. She can try to get a TRV before marriage.
2. No but she can’t work until a OWPis approved (approx.4 months) and will not have healthcare in most provinces.
3. Up to you. TRVs are actually quite hard to get so that is normally the deciding factor.
