I have been in Canada for last 4 years with a work permit and in the meantime I had applied for my permanent residence and the same has been awarded recently.
I got my PR in March 2019.
Now I have a situation and I have to move outside of Canada and go to Netherlands. Some of my friends told me that a PR holder can work in another country like US or Netherland but still his days will be counted in Canada for PR extension.
If it is not the case out of the 5 years I have is it mandatory for me to be physically be present in Canada for 2 years or 730 days. Is there a need that I have to stay for a continuous period of 6 months out of this 2 years in Canada.
Should I inform IRCC about me going to Netherlands and working there? Where should I inform and how?

The days you spend working outside of Canada can only be counted towards PR if you were working for a Canadian employer in Canada who then transferred you to a job working for the same company outside of Canada. Otherwise you cannot count days spent outside of Canada towards your PR residency requirement.
Yes - you are required to live in Canada for 2 out of every five years to maintain your PR status. There is no requirement for the says to be continuous. Note that only days since you became a PR will be counted. The time you spent in Canada on a work permit isn't relevant to the conversation.
Thanks Scylla.. I am currently working in an Canadian company. This company has a counterpart company locally registered in Netherland and the offer is from the Netherland version of the company not the Canadian version.
Do you think I will get those days of stay counted in this scenario?
