PR documents submission: Should the work permit name match the passport name?

Hi All,

I got an ITA, and I am submitting my PR documents under Federal Skilled Worker. Earlier, I had no first name in my passport so my name appeared as
1. First Name: (Blank)
Surname: myFirstName surname mySecondName
This caused a lot of issue, so I split my name as
2. New First Name: myFirstName mySecondName
New Surname: surname

Now, my passport is using the new name and new surname , whereas my work permit is still in Old first name and surname. I had applied for work permit again to reflect my new name, but it will take some time.

I am wondering if I can submit my PR documents with the work permit with old name, or will that cause a problem.? Is it important that both the names matches?
I tried calling CIC many times but couldn't get through. Any help will be appreciated! Thanks!
