PR Decision made - In how many days London VO returns the passports

Dear Friends,
We have sent our passports to London VO for stamping of the Visa in end of Feb 2011 ( 3 weeks back ), as they have taken a decision to grant the PR to us.

Does anyone have an idea normally in how many days the passports are returned to the applicant after stamping of the visa

meaning in how many days after sending the passports the applicant receives them back from London VO?

Need the timeline experienced by those who have already gone through this process, to plan exit things from current location, such as closing of the apartment lease, utilities( electricity, mobile, water etc. ) so on and so forth.

Hi

I would say minimum of 4 weeks but it could be more as well if your security checks are still on so dont take this time frame as guaranteed and wait until you get your passports backs before start closing your accounts.

do u live in Dubai and sent the passports from DXB to London?
what happened to your passports. did you get it back, how many days over all it took for you to get the PPs back. which company they used to return the passports back.

please share your experience.

Hi Kamlesh
I am exactly in the same situation as you. I have sent my PP to London VO from Abu Dhabi in first week of March and waiting for them to return the PP with the visas stamped. From previous posts it looks like it takes an average of 3 - 4 weeks. But it is wise NOT to start wrapping up your current location until you have the PP/ visas in your hands. Thats what I am going to do.

After u see Decision made on ur E-cas u will get back the passports within 12 to 14 days. If u r in Dubai the passports will reach Abu Dhabi Canadian Consulate from there it is handed out to Aramex for delivery.
Aramex will charge Dhs 100 for the 1st passport and additional dhs 50 / each for the rest.

what if I send my PPs from Qatar, do u think CIC london will send me directly or they first send it to AUD and then AUD canadian consulate will direct it to aramex for the delivery in Qatar???

We have received the passports in exactly 4 weeks of time with valid visas. Hope you all too get your passports asap.
