Hi guys, I received pr confirmation portal email. I am an outland Canadian Experience Class applicant and currently reside in outside of Canada. I replied back to email mentioning my situation and received auto reply.
Thank you for contacting us.
"This email address is dedicated solely to clients invited by IRCC to use the Permanent Residence (PR) Portal in order to be confirmed as permanent residents. You must be invited by IRCC in order to have an account created in the PR Portal."
Is it normal to get portal email when you are outland applicant and reside out of Canada. Does receiving portal email mean that our PR was approved because i don't see any update on my IRCC account except biometrics and medical which were passed.
If someone has any idea please shed some light. Thank you.
Hey! I'm in the same boat... I've received the PR portal invite but didn't responded at first as it went to my spam and later on they reached me out asking for my number today but I'm not sure what to respond as I'm in the US and applied as outbound and as my IRCC profile status is same as yours. Were you able to speak to them and check if it was normal to receive that email or what is the case here? I read few articles it says that if we received the email that means our application was approved but not sure how to proceed further for the outbound applicants like us.. let me know if you were able to get through this and got a chance to speak with them.
Thank you!
I replied them back about the situation and only got a generic auto-reply. However last week I got a new message in my CIC account saying that my PR application has been approved. The rest of the message was exactly same with PR portal email. So i replied again I live outside of Canada as it is requested.

I just noticed that i forgot the write down my application number and "online" in the subject line of the email. So i sent it again, i hope you did that.

I also received PR portal invite (Outland Applicant). I replied to the email from IRCC PR Portal informing that I am Outland Applicant and should receive PPR. Received a generic reply from them after 2 days that "Please let us know once you are back in Canada to continue with the process". I replied to that email again and explained in detail that I can't come to Canada without visa. Then they replied that they have requested to the approving office for RFV letter and I received it after 1 day.
I also sent an email to my VO as well submitted a webform regarding the same in the meantime.
So, my suggestion would be to keep sending email to IRCC PR Portal until you get clear reply.

I was/am not a resident of Canada, so I can't come back. I have been to Canada only once for xx days in xxxx on a visitor visa.
I am currently living in xxxx and can only come to Canada once I get visa stamping on passport.
I am very concerned as I am an Outland Applicant and can't proceed on the PR Portal. I am very hopeful that this issue will be sorted out soon and that my application doesn't get delayed/stuck.
