I have immigrated to canada and am waiting for my PR card.
1. What is the current average time for a PR card to be mailed?
2. Is there any online portal to check for the delivery status?
3. Is it advisable to leave the country without the PR card, have my friend pick it up and keep it with him when it is mailed, and re enter Canada later with a Permanent Resident Travel Document I can get from the Canadian Embassy?

1. 12 days but it keeps changing. You can check in this link.
2. You can link your PR Card application in your MyCIC account.
3. It should be ok as long as you meet your residency obligations. I personally had someone bring my card with them when they were visiting from Canada.
