Hi All,
We are planning to travel to Canada as a family. My son and I hope to stay there for a week or two and then come away to India until my husband finds a job.Would they issue PR cards for myself and my son in our absence,to my husband's address in Canada? How can my husband get the cards to us when we want to travel back?Is fedex legal?

Thanks,
Monica.

Hi,

Yes your husband will be able to receive your PR cards in your absense , pr cards cannot be mailed. You will be able to re-enter canada by using a PR travel document below is the link for your info.

Hi All,
Thanks for the info.Do we have to indicate on the outside of the envelope while couriering the PR card?

Cheers,
Monica.

People have sent PR cards by post or by courier without indicating anything and it has worked out fine. The only risk is that it gets lost on the way. I have seen one person state that it is illegal to mail or send PR cards outside of Canada but he could not link to any law that states that.
