We received a call from the Embassy in our country for my Wife to send her passport, this is for her VISA, the VISA will expire end of March 2008. We are planning to arrive in Canada around the 22 March 2008 will we receive her Permanent Resident card before arriving in Canada or only after arriving in Canada? If only in Canada.. what will happen if we are in Canada and her VISA expires but we haven't received her PR Card can she still remain in Canada while her PR Card is being processed?

1. The PR card will arrive about 45 days after "landing".
2. The PR card is just proof that you are a permanent resident, nothing more. She will still have COPR in her passport.
3. Personally I think that you are cutting pretty fine, if she intends to land, with less than a week on her visa, plane delays, unexpected illness. If it expires before she lands, it is gone.
Hi ..me and my husband came to Canada together last April 2013 . I sponsored him under FSW . I was the principal applicant, we have no children. And he never declared her daughter whatsoever upon entry. Sometime February 2015 through his facebook account, I found out that his family and he himself planned and kept it secret from me. His PR card will expire April 2018, does this mean he can renew his PR card anytime he wishes or will it be on me because I was the Principal applicant who sponsored him? Pls help.. Thanks
